Our client, an established company in the Tech Industry located in central Orange County is seeking an experienced Consolidation Accountant to join the accounting team. Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger files in the consolidation accounting system
Prepare and record elimination and consolidation adjustment entries
Work with global teams to resolve accounting issues
Ensure consolidated financials comply with US GAAP
Review and reconcile fixed assets roll-forward schedules at the consolidated level
Record the necessary adjustments based on the historical rate in the Consolidation system for foreign subsidiaries
Review and load financial data from the accounting system and foreign subsidiaries.
Validate data integrity and accuracy by utilizing the consolidation system
Provide reporting and distribution of consolidated reports
Reconcile intercompany balances
Work with foreign subsidiaries to resolve issues
Generate and create accounting reports and supporting details for the Tax Department.
Prepare and review footnote disclosures and schedules submitted by foreign and local entities as part of the annual audit process
Performs ad hoc reporting as required
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
3+ of progressive accounting experience
Experience working in the manufacturing industry with global operations preferred
International consolidation experience
Experience with the preparation of financial statements and monthly close processes
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Thorough understanding of GAAP
Experience with Insight, JD Edwards, and Cognos Controller preferred
CPA preferred
