Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for initiating and leading talent acquisition efforts to include full life cycle recruiting, developing and executing a broad-based sourcing strategy, and ultimately delivering a viable talent pipeline for the business. Responsibilities will also include tracking and reporting on key metrics, driving process improvements, leading recruiting and HR effectiveness initiatives and building a strong relationship with functional business leaders and hiring managers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and execute full life cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers all the way to extending offers to candidates.
- Partner with HR and hiring managers, develop a deep understanding of assigned positions and business groups. Identify required skills, experience, and competencies, as well as other in tangible job profile preferences.
- Develop and implement effective, leading edge sourcing strategies and network of potential candidates and referral sources. Leverage a range of sources, relevant to the job, such as universities, job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Google search and other social media. Identify key diversity sourcing tools to ensure we are attracting a diverse pool of talent.
- Provide hiring managers with guidance, training and tools to create an effective hiring process and positive experience for the candidate.
- Serve as company liaison to candidates and foster a positive, professional experience for candidates.
- Provide realistic and thorough job overviews, highlighting the benefits of a careerat Avance Care.
- Manage requisitions through ATS to ensure that hiring activity is documented according to requirements.
- Track data accurately, review and report on recruiting metrics to include time to fill, cost of hire, and other required reports.
- Provide support on recruiting related initiatives or programs.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications
- An strong level of knowledge in all full lifecycle recruiting components including, but not limited to talent sourcing, assessing, applicant tracking, closing offer processes and relationship management
- Demonstrated ability to conduct competency-based recruitment
- Ability to apply a consultancy approach, effectively managing expectations of hiring managers
- Ability to launch and sustain talent pipelining programs, effectively converting passive candidates and utilizing diverse sourcing channels
- Ability to apply business knowledge into practical solutions based on business strategy or organizational changes
- Must be able to manage competing demands while being extremely adaptable and flexible
- Excellent project management, writing, and verbal communication skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to command the attention and respect of leaders
- Ability to influence and negotiate with business leaders
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Ability to create and maintain documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to understand and interpret data, analyze trends and identify actionable insights
- Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes and procedures
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years' previous experience in a Recruiter or similar role required
- Experienced in developing and delivering hiring strategies
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Software
- Effective collaborator, influencer and builder of strong partnerships at all levels
- Skilled at negotiation and delivering successful outcomes for all sides
- Personal flexibility and comfort in handling change with little notice
- Ability in balancing multiple priorities, stakeholders and work streams simultaneously
- Culturally aware with experience working across teams of varying perspectives and locations
- Effective at resolving problems by providing creative solutions
- Must be familiar with pertinent regulations and/or government laws
