Bee Downtown is headquartered out of Raleigh/Durham, NC, with Atlanta, GA being its secondary headquarters.

Position Purpose:

The Partnership Manager is the direct line of contact between Bee Downtown and our Bee Downtown Corporate Hive Program Partners in a Bee Downtown City. The Partnership Manager is the bridge between partners and their bees, and everything in between. The Partnership Manager "owns" the primary relationship with each company and is in charge of ensuring all of the work stated in our contracts is completed at the end of each year while also ensuring strong and healthy relationships are built between yourself, Bee Downtown, and the partners. You will play a vital role in coordinating and actively participating in on-site experiences at partner campuses.

A successful candidate will be able to:
  • Build and maintain authentic relationships with partners, acting as the primary point of contact for partnership programming, inquiries, activities, and contracts related to their specific Corporate Hive Program partnership
  • Build rapport with people no matter what their job title or position is at a partner company
  • Guide new partners through the onboarding process with care and organization
  • Proactively find creative ways to engage all partners throughout the year
  • Be intentional in their interactions with partners and teammates
  • Find joy and purpose in "making someone's day"
  • Solve partner problems or issues in a professional, delicate and urgent manner
  • Anticipate partner needs as or before they arise
  • Carry themselves in a professional and positive manner
  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee the execution of Corporate Hive Program employee engagement experiences and events
  • Follow up with various people, teams, vendors and entities until the partner project or event is completed
  • Work multiple partner events in a given week such as beehive tours, Farmer's Market tabling booth, a webinar, and more
  • Lead all partner events with enthusiasm and upbeat energy, while also holding themselves to a high standard of professionalism and corporate etiquette
  • Balance time between computer work and event facilitation
  • Engage with and inspire large groups of corporate employees at partner events
  • Collaborate with Bee Downtown teammates everyday
  • Track, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of partnerships, using key metrics and reporting tools
  • Be trusted to fulfill your day-to-day responsibilities
  • Take initiative and enjoy contributing at a high level
  • Be interested in honeybees and sustainability

Major Challenges:
  1. Working in a fast-paced start-up where processes and infrastructure are still being implemented and changed
  2. Dealing with trivial or demanding requests from partners with a constant smile and positive attitude in an urgent and timely manner.
  3. The agricultural industry is very seasonal which means a fluctuating work/life balance. The busy season is April-August.
  4. A small team means you must be willing to step in to help where needed and wear more than just one "hat".


Qualifications:
  • 3 years experience in a client-facing role managing a portfolio of contracts/relationships
  • Experience working on a small team or at a startup previously
  • Exposure and/or experience facilitating events
  • Experience in G-Suite, Microsoft Office and Canva
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and utilize a variety of resources to do so
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive, professional manner
  • Proven ability to be organized, accountable and responsible
  • Preferred: public speaking experience

Requirements:
  • A working and reliable vehicle to take you and from work (located in Norcross, GA) as well as to and from partner campuses when necessary
  • Willingness to work in-person and not remote
  • Ability to stand on your feet for 5 hours at a time
  • Ability and strength to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
  • An active driver's license
