Synechron Inc is seeking QA Automation Engineer - Eggplant + Payments- financial services to join our Pittsburg, PA (onsite 3 days a week is a must in Hybris ) long-term contract.
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Eggplant and experience in testing payment systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Eggplant to ensure the quality of our payment solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with our development and testing teams to automate testing processes and improve the overall efficiency of our QA efforts.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Eggplant for payment systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
Execute test cases and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process through automation and best practices.
Participate in the design and implementation of test automation frameworks.
Work closely with developers to ensure the quality and reliability of payment system features.
Provide timely and accurate feedback to stakeholders on test results and quality metrics.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies related to QA and test automation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in automated testing using Eggplant or similar tools.
In-depth knowledge of testing payment systems and related protocols (e.g., ISO 8583, EMV).
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in software testing or test automation.
Experience with performance testing and load testing of payment systems.
Knowledge of security testing practices and techniques for payment applications.
