Position Summary:
As a Data Center Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our client's data center operations in Aurora, Illinois. You will be responsible for inventory management, including tracking, auditing, and coordinating the movement of hardware equipment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a live physical asset database for all hardware
Receive and document physical asset purchase orders at primary local site
Coordinate receiving and verification of physical asset purchase orders at remote sites
Organize and maintain clean storage spaces as hardware needs evolve
Design and implement continuous updates to the Inventory & Fulfilment process
Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies
Perform regular inventory audits of all sites
Ship and receive hardware between all sites
Coordinate Return Merchandise Authorization orders with the Procurement team

Excellent communication and documentation skills
Must have experience working in a data center
Ability to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Reliable transportation (role based in Aurora, IL)
