The Greeley (Colo.) Tribune is seeking a city/county government reporter. We re looking for a reporter who can translate government bureaucracy into relevant and useful information for our readers; somebody who takes the initiative to do some good watchdog reporting; somebody who is willing to take an in-depth look at serious issues in our community; and somebody who can also post stories online, do photography, produce video and jump into social media along with the responsibility of writing a strong story for print. The Tribune is an award-winning paper with a circulation of 15,000 daily and 18,000 Sunday. We have a strong digital culture and an emphasis on thorough and deep local reporting on what is of interest to our readers. Experience is preferred but we will consider recent college graduates. We are a university city located along the Colorado Front Range, about an hour from Denver, 30 minutes from the mountains. Greeley has been a great news town and there is considerable opportunity to do some important stories that will shape the future of our community.
