Sr. Marketing Manager, Biometrics
Reports to VP, Marketing and Corporate Communications
The Sr. Marketing Manager is responsible for establishing a go-to-market strategy and plan in an effort to drive marketshare and revenue growth through both direct and indirect channels for NEC’s Biometrics Solutions Division in the US. Building awareness and demand generation for Biometrics products and solutions through event participation, integrated campaigns, web based programs and social media are key objectives of this role. As a result, this position works closely with the Corporate events team, demand programs, lead management, marketing automation and brand management.
While this position has direct responsibility for planning, strategy and execution of Biometrics marketing, there will be additional responsibilities required to progress the Biometrics business. From developing and managing a BSD “Board of Advisors” to working with and supporting Biometrics channel partners, this role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work with and support an ecosystem of strategic partners. The role is also responsible for coordinating the annual BSD Users’ Conference including agenda preparation and working closely with the BSD’s Executive User Committee.
Achieving Biometrics growth objectives requires net new customer acquisition and cross selling new technologies within the install base. A successful history of marketing to existing customers is required in addition to experience marketing to public sector (State, Local and Federal Government).
This role requires a strong solutions foundation, experience working with product management and a track record of developing successful go-to-market strategies. Channel experience managing partner programs and new solutions and incentives is a must as the Biometrics channel represents a significant opportunity for growth moving forward.
As the recognized marketing leader, this individual must have excellent communication skills, the ability to represent the BSD practice at events, lead customer and partner workshops and evangelize the BSD portfolio. The candidate should also be a strategic thinker, have a sense of urgency and the ability to function in a highly matrixed environment. Experience working within a complex multi-functional team is required.

MBA or a Bachelor's degree with an advanced certificate
Work Environment and Physical Demands -
General Work Environment:

Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Must be able to work under tight schedules.
Travel up to 35% may be required.
Supervisory Responsibility –
Successful experience managing agencies, vendors is required.
