GP Color-Box® is looking for a Prepress Technician for our Richmond, IN facility.  This position creates value by assisting in the operation of the printing production process in order to ensure optimal production efficiencies are met in alignment with our internal and external customer’s expectations.This position has a main responsibility of processing all press orders and preparing jobs to be imaged onto printing plates.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Performing all aspects of pre- preparation for plates to press(e.g.checking in jobs, preparing printing plates, cutting and bending plates, coating blanket, etc )

  • Performing all aspects of printing images onto the plates (matching proofs, inspecting finished plates, staging plates, etc)

  • Performing preventative maintenance

  • Operating support equipment for plate making (e.g. Kongsberg table, Esko, plate processor, etc)

  • Recognizing and resolve/troubleshoot quality defects

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience troubleshooting machinery

  • Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed

  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environment

  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment

  • One (1) or more years of experience working in a litho printing prepress department
