Job Description:

Prudential's Group Insurance Onboarding Team is seeking a Manager, Client Services who is accountable for leading a team of Implementation Support Specialists who are accountable for implementation activities for Disability and Absence across Premier and National account segments.  This position is highly visible in the organization and the successful candidate will be accountable for the Absence Onboarding process.  Responsibilities include:


  • Lead for Absence Support Specialists as it relates to end to end Onboarding

  • Lead, facilitate, and report out on the status of Absence customers on a weekly basis

  • Developing and monitoring of metrics and Quality trends related to incoming work requests

  • Establishing new processes and strengthen existing processes associated with all work types

  • Development and implementation of appropriate business procedures for the unit, supports the design of the appropriate organizational structure and staffing models (including actual hiring, training and retaining of associates), ensuring that the unit's structure and processes are properly aligned with business goals

  • Provides leadership, motivation, technical and risk management expertise, and drives engagement and talent development, while fostering a sense of teamwork, success, and positive morale

  • Responsibility for coaching, development, and overall performance management of the team

  • Support strategic projects aligned with Group Insurance priorities


  • 2 or more years in leading a staff in a fast-paced, metric-driven, rapidly changing environment, preferred

  • Experience and knowledge of Group Insurance products (Absence & Disability), required

  • BA or BS degree, or equivalent work experience, required

  • Proven leadership capabilities including strategic thinking skills, problem solving and ability to partner with and influence others without having a direct line of authority

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and balancing competing priorities

  • Ability to consult and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments

  • Proactive problem-solving ability with a solutions-oriented attitude

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capable of interacting with all levels of Prudential associates

  • Must have experience preparing, presenting, and communicating information to management teams

  • Strong knowledge of excel and other MS tools

  • Project management experience

  • Innate sense of urgency and the ability to make smart decisions under pressure

  • Demonstrated strong customer focus

  • Can translate daily activity into the long-term impact on Group Insurance’s Critical Priorities

  • Occasional travel (10%-15%)

  • Practical assimilation of Prudential's Leadership Competencies
