We are currently seeking a RN or other Licensed Clinical Specialist experienced in Medical Staff Peer Review to join our quality team!

The Medical Staff Peer Review RN/Specialist is responsible for supporting and coordinating the Queen of the Valley Medical Center Medical Staff Peer Review committees, including participation in ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE) applicable to scope of responsibilities, and activities across defined departments. The Medical Staff Peer Review RN/Specialist works closely with Medical Staff leadership and Medical Staff Services Dept on providing accurate clinical summaries, data trending, reports and analysis. This role reports to the Director of Risk and Regulatory Readiness and works in collaboration with the Clinical Excellence team to coordinate activities that can provide support and learning to the benefit of the quality, patient safety and regulatory readiness duties that are shared by colleagues in the department and the ministry. This position also actively participates in relevant activities and educational opportunities in the Providence St Joseph Health system (PSJH) that will provide further professional and personal growth to the Peer review Coordinator at QVMC.  Assures confidentiality and full protection of all written and verbal discussions and documentation associated with the work product of peer review, OPPE and all Physician Quality Activities associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position.

 Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare field or business equivalent, preferred.

  • 3-5 years recent Acute Care clinical experience.

  • Fundamental Data Management proficiency.

  • 1 year in Performance Improvement or related experience, preferred.

  • Current California RN or equivalent clinical license.
