Senior
Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing Support

 

Overview

The position
will be responsible for supporting the Global Sourcing team.  This is an exciting opportunity to be a part
of an internal Global Strategic Sourcing function in a fast-paced and dynamic
business within the entertainment industry. The successful candidate must have
a strong analytical foundation with expert level Excel proficiency as well as
experience automating/establishing relational databases within an ERP system or
equivalent in collaboration with IT, as well a passion for reporting. The
individual should demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be able
to identify and implement improvements to overall processes/systems/applications
with a strong work ethic and “can-do" attitude. Strategic Sourcing
delivers a structured approach to enterprise source-to-contract acquisition of
products, services and other items by pairing internal stakeholder needs with external
supplier capabilities to provide cost savings and best overall value.

 

Responsibilities

This role supports the Global Strategic Sourcing team from
an analytics perspective:

 

Systems: Design/Automation/Implementation/Integration

-        
Lead the design and implementation process to
automate complex reports currently existing in numerous Excel spreadsheets.
Instruct IT/Business Intelligence developer liaisons as to what can be coded,
what QC is required and when, and what can be tied directly or indirectly to
other financial data within the ERP system. There are 2 key reports to be
automated, 3rd Party Vendor Spend and Cost Savings, described in the
Reporting section.

Lead selection, design, implementation and
optimization of strategic sourcing technology tools including but not limited
to project management, cost savings, spend analysis, contract management,
supplier relationship management.

 

Reporting

-        
Obtain
& Organize:
Run spend reports, Pull invoices, Obtain Contracts, eCRF
(Electronic Contract Request Form) exports and other systems on behalf of and
in addition to the Strategic Sourcing team. Define, construct mapping tables,
arrange, cleanse and validate information in an efficient and effective manner.

-        
Analyze &
Report: KPIs (key performance indicators)
using sourcing project list to
assess capacity, project distributions, heat maps, spend report to determine
spend under management, spend threshold policy adherence, cost savings, other
ROI calculations. Cost Savings: Perform
detailed analysis, audit and reporting
of sourcing team cost savings
reports to ensure all confirm to established criteria & provide variance
analysis versus target. Provide written “click by click” documentation of
reporting and audit process. Spend: perform
ongoing spend data mapping, cleansing, quality control checks, reporting,
system upload/download design to maximize automation, “click by click”
documentation of manual work, instruct developers and business intelligence
team to obtain required data. Project
Status:
own project status tracking and all related metadata to deliver
monthly reports and others upon request. Others
as needed including but not limited to Contract Compliance, Supplier
Relationship Management/ Vendor Performance, Financial Health Assessments,
Contract Management.

Support Source-to-Contract
RFX Process

-        
Design & create templates for rate cards to
capture fully loaded cost, volume assumptions, analytical models including both
quantitative and qualitative calculations for stakeholder & other
presentations using Excel or PowerPoint. Built out links in detailed pricing
models. Maximize automation. Quality Control: Perform assurance checks for
accurate results.

Review contracts for key terms & conditions
such as expiration date and summarize key deal terms

Perform research to gather market intelligence,
determine industry keywords, identify new suppliers

Execute RFX administration throughout the
strategic sourcing process such as confirming supplier contact information, collecting
non-disclosure agreements & facilitating execution

Review Supplier Proposals

o  
Assess proposal completion; gathering missing
items from suppliers, ensuring appropriate labelling and file compatibility.
Excerpt information from proposal into scorecard, capability overviews, bid
matrices & other items.

Total Cost of Ownership & Other Analysis:
Analyze and draw conclusions from spend, volume, contract and other information
to understand trends, uncover consolidation or other opportunities, and
structure negotiations. Conduct financial health and risk assessments. Provide recommendations
& draw conclusions from observed trends.

Process

Manage the electronic contract request forms
(eCRF) through procure-to-pay workflow system from a sourcing perspective to
ensure source-to-contract workflow has been executed by assigning to
appropriate sourcing category lead.
