The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for an AmeriCorps Coordinator. This position is responsible for guiding and monitoring the AmeriCorps component of Energy Express (a statewide summer program) and to ensure grant compliance. In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will be able to:
as Co-Principal Investigator (IP), develop AmeriCorps e-grant reports from
entry through submission, and provide input and assistance with the development
of the AmeriCorps grant application, clarifications and annual amendments.
develop and deliver training sessions and presentations to various groups.
program materials, grant narratives and other communications as needed
using various media types.
database, compile reports and respond to requests from Commission for
National and Community Service (CNCS) and Volunteer WV for information,
reports, stories, professional presentations and
archive photos related to AmeriCorps and communication service.
and submit all required AmeriCorps reports, including progress reports,
year-end reports and time sheets.
monitor and implement a comprehensive statewide recruitment plan, provide
technical assistance to county selection committees, and oversee all
aspects of AmeriCorps member vetting and background checks.
update and distribute AmeriCorps member application and review and revise
program policies and materials to ensure compliance.
with the development of a site visit rubric that aligns with current
AmeriCorps policies and regulations and participate in Energy Express site
visits to monitor adherence to AmeriCorps policies and regulations.
support for Energy Express by meeting with state and county school
officials, and establishing strong relationships with college and
university career service, service-learning, minority and disability
offices, and relevant faculty.
all Volunteer WV program directors? meetings and stay abreast of national
and state AmeriCorps policies and regulations, and address any questions
or issues regarding the Segal Educational Award.
the Energy Express graduate assistants.
travel throughout West Virginia is required to assess Energy Express
sites, train volunteers, meet with constituents, conduct interviews, and
assist with the hiring process.
as the designated site administrator for Energy Express to give formal
approval to all entered data and maintain the data entry of all pertinent
information of AmeriCorps members.
