Join our fast-moving application team to help Webster Financial Corporation re-platform SOA Integration Layer using the cutting edge Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies. We are seeking dynamic individuals to join our team in creating the quality software to enable our organization meet critical timelines and delivery goals. In this position you will be exposed to the full software development lifecycle phases such as requirements, design, development, testing, delivery & support.


This position will focus on delivering mission critical projects developing, upgrading and maintaining Webster Integration Layer (WIL).
  • Applicant will be viewed as a subject matter expert in Web Services, SOA and Application Integration.
  • As a lead, the candidate will be responsible for providing oversight, guidance and reporting of day-to-day activities of team members in the complete SDLC process on projects, enhancements and bug fixes. The candidate may act as the primary point of contact for the development of assigned functionality. He will participate in estimations, planning and review of deliverables for the assigned area. Ideal candidate must be able to lead development team functions and be able to produce documentation at the code and technical levels.
  • Successful candidates will be self-motivated, able to quickly adapt to changing requirements and able to quickly identify and solve technical issues. Candidate must have strong technical skills in the specified areas, and the soft skills necessary to lead a diverse team comprising of full-timers and contracting resources. The candidate will also be collaborating closely with Business Analysts, QA Analysts, SOA Admins and Technical Managers to deliver outstanding quality.

- High School / GED required

- BS required - Computer Science or Equivalent

- 2-4 years of related experience - Oracle Service Bus, Aqualogic Service Bus, Weblogic Integration

- 3-5 years of related experience - Web Services, WSDL, XML, XSD

- 5-8 years of related experience - JAVA, J2EE, EJB, Oracle Database

Skills and Knowledge of the following technologies required:

  • Oracle Service Bus (11g, 12c)

  • Oracle Weblogic Server (11g, 12c)

  • Web Services (SOAP, WSDL)

  • XML Technologies (XML, XSD, XSLT, XQ)

  • J2EE (EJB 2.0 or 3.0)

  • JDBC

  • Oracle Database (10g+)

  • SQL

  • SOA Middleware Design & Implementation

  • Unit testing

  • Experience being in technical lead roles

    Additional experience desired:

  • Oracle Service Bus (11g, 12c)

  • Oracle Weblogic Server (11g, 12c)

  • Oracle ADF (11g, 12c)
