TITLE:
Senior Application Developer

DUTIES:
Develop 10-feet TV user interface (UI) on web-enabled Smart televisions and other connected devices, including supporting internet protocol (IP) video streaming and related capabilities. Work on an agile software team to develop new features, investigate, and resolve defects. Utilize Jira to track user stories and bugs. Gather detailed application requirements and ensure applications meet business needs in terms of quality function, features and user experience. Contribute to feature development, bug triage and resolution, and code reviews. Manage source code in Git repository and support deployments to a variety of environments. Coordinate with other Charter teams including User Experience (UX)/UI, Software Engineering, Advanced Engineering, and Video Operations to deliver on integrated solutions and provide architectural and technical design input. Work with external partners to work through technical issues, support certification, and manage requests for device firmware updates. Test software to ensure proper execution. Performing software development with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. Build single-page web applications leveraging web frameworks including Backbone.js or ReactJS. Support IP video streaming including linear and on-demand, Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI), and Digital Rights Management (DRM). Develop Smart TV application. Develop web services utilizing REST, JSON, and XML. Utilize Git for version control systems.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. 5 years of web development experience performing software development with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. 2 years of experience: building single-page web applications leveraging web frameworks including Backbone.js or ReactJS; IP video streaming including linear and on-demand, Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI), and Digital Rights Management (DRM); Smart TV application development; web services development utilizing REST, JSON, and XML; and version control systems experience utilizing Git. Position may be performed remotely up to 20%.

SALARY:
$120,993 $140,300 per year

HOURS:
9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)
