Koch Fertilizer Enid, LLC is seeking an experienced, motivated and self-driven Process Safety Management Manager (PSM Manager) for our expanding Enid, Oklahoma Fertilizer Plant. The successful candidate will act as the program owner for Process Safety Management (PSM) to include gathering, centrally organizing information and drive the improvement of all 14 elements of PSM. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals capable of identifying and capturing value added opportunities within a matrix reporting organization.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Actively work with all functions/capabilities at the site to continue develop programs to assess gaps and improve the PSM elements for the ENID site

  • Develop and implement a point of use library containing all process safety information in accordance with OSHA

  • Act as the process owner for Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Information (PSI systems) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) programs

  • Drive, initiate and assist in the creation of policies, procedures and work instructions to support plant safety and specifically PSM as required

  • Act as the process owner for Incident Investigation methods

  • Develop and implement key performance indicators to track the progress of PSM health

  • Own databases for safety inspections, self-assessments, and incident investigations

  • Assist with Safety program administration to include: training, conducting site inspections/audits and safety committee participation

  • Lead or assist with projects as assigned to support site safety initiatives

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert, mentor and trainer as needed to support site wide safety initiatives

  • Assist with other safety responsibilities as needed


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years RMP- (Risk Management Plan), PSM (Process Safety Management) or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of plant level safety experience

  • Experience with P&ID's

  • Strong communication skills with emphasis on business etiquette

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word & Excel

  • Associates degree in Safety related field OR 3+ years PSM training and experience with a High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings when required for business


What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of PSM background/experience

  • Audit training

  • Experience/training conducting root cause analysis

  • Experience/knowledge of the EPA and OSHA requirements

  • Certified PHA facilitator

  • Demonstrated leadership capability

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Able to wear PPE

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs with heights exceeding 100 ft.
