Desired skills and expertise:

  • Strong conceptual design ability and advanced graphic representation skills

  • Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team-focused environment

  • Exhibits understanding of basic building materials, details and construction techniques, along with general project design philosophy relating to assigned work

  • Strong understanding and basic skills with the various design tools including REVIT, Rhino, Photoshop and InDesign

  • Completion of an accredited Professional Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture with focus or experience in Interior Architecture

Open to students completing a degree in 2018 and beginning their first year of post graduate professional experience, Year One combines an entry-level opportunity with an accelerated program for professional development. Our first "incoming class" will supplement their project-based work with a range of activities and creative initiatives to help them get the most out of their first year at SOM.
