Farm is looking to add an Industrial Design Program Manager to our team. In this role, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams of human factors engineers, industrial and user interface designers, researchers and mechanical engineers in guiding a wide range of medical device innovation programs to their successful conclusion.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  •  Manage and facilitate brainstorm sessions, concept reviews, and design reviews in conjunction with the technical and/or design leads.

  •  Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and lead teams on client programs. Participate in weekly resource allocation decisions.

  •  Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring regarding all facets of product development and program management to team members.

  •  Author proposals, including project plans, schedules with appropriate milestones, and estimates for both resources and material costs.

  •  Maintain the ultimate responsibility of ensuring that the content, quality, accuracy, and style of deliverables meet our clients’ requirements.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design and 7+ years of experience in industrial design

  •  2-3 years of demonstrated program management and client management skills

  • Passion for design, and in particular, design within the medical device space.

  •  Experience managing medical product development projects from concept to engineering.

  •  Proven creative capacity as evidenced by the ability to invent, conceptualize, and abstract.

  • Must have portfolio of prior work to display product experience and knowledge of design processes

  • Medical device development and ISO 13485 experienceis a must
