Summary

Spencer Technologies is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator. The ideal candidate should be able to operate with minimal supervision and achieve reasonable production goals. Candidate must have knowledge of underground construction requirements and techniques. Candidate will trailer and transport equipment to site. Ability safely and efficiently operate the equipment for required excavation and site clean-up. Form and place concrete / rebar / fasteners on concrete pier footings. Responsible for perform pre- and post-operation inspections and preventative maintenance such as greasing of the equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Operate all digging and lifting equipment including Tractor / Loader / Backhoe and mini excavator
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicated effectively with job site manager
• Dig and pour foundational footings according to site plans
• Maintain a daily work schedule
• General maintenance includes the following:
• Demonstrate use of equipment

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
• Must have experience operating backhoe and excavator or other similar equipment
• Class A License
• Hydraulic or Operators license where required
• Has a solid time management system and demonstrates excellent organizational skills
• Experience with basic tools and be mechanically inclined
• Work requires exposure to construction site environment having extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, loud noise levels
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• A thorough knowledge about safety precautions while working
• Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must possess a hydraulic license
• Good Attendance and reliable
