Location: Chester Township, Pennsylvania
This position’s primary responsibility is generating daily work assignments for the inspectors in support of production and delivery schedules. This job requires significant interface with various departments. The applicant must also be capable of performing all inspections that are part of the daily functions of the QA inspectors. Key secondary responsibilities include performance tracking, maintenance of quality data and training of inspectors. The candidate must have basic working knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Follow the job specifications that are developed for the tasks that
the inspector performs using various measuring and testing equipment.
Direct and develop the QA work force in the tasks at hand as well as developing training programs as needed.
Write and update standard operating procedures (SOP) as required.
Perform quality techniques to track, analyze and report on materials, processes and products to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.
Utilize basic statistical process control (SPC) techniques and manage corrective action system as required by the QA Assurance Manager.
Interface with engineers, shipping and production personnel as required.
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with various projects and investigations.
Fill out appropriate paperwork as required to include timesheets and personnel reviews.
Notify maintenance of equipment issues and follow-up to assure completion of repairs.
Adhere to all safety rules and environmental regulations.
Attend meetings and obtain training as scheduled.
Assist in ISO 9000 tasks.
Generate reports, graphs and charts using data acquired during inspections operations.
Good Computer Skills with Excel and Word. Mini-tab is a plus.
Fill in for the QA technician or inspectors as needed.
