Essential Job Functions:
Take ownership and independently manage subsets of audits with minimal oversight from direct supervisor.
Ensure vendors are within their scope of work.
Maintain thorough understanding and complete knowledge of required documentation and the scope of each audit.
Audit foreclosure and vacant property registrations required.
Examines documentation and processes to ensure control points are executed in adherence to regulatory and agency guidance, policies and procedures.
Managing reconveyances by tracking the reasons for and placing better controls on those identifiers.
Identify issues in data quality, sourcing, or documentation by reviewing existing data and processes.
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely fashion.
Work to address all regulatory changes with the business.
Maintain responsibility for meeting Freedom Mortgage Corporation commitment to compliance.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four year College or University
Must have at least 3-5 years' experience in residential mortgage servicing or financial services industry
Fully knowledgeable and capable of developing and executing on various complex compliance and control related activities
Experience in constructing and evaluating tests of controls, analyzing issues and formatting effective corrective action plans
Able to work collaboratively with others
Articulate and effective communicator able to prepare and deliver detailed oral and written presentations to business units
Able to complete assignments independently and meet reporting targets
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
