What does a Geek Squad Senior Repair Agent do?

A Geek Squad Senior Repair Agent performs high quality repairs on consumer electronics by addressing all unit symptoms and repairing and/or replacing defective parts, as necessary. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong ability to follow both written and verbal instructions as well as have an attention to detail. Senior Repair Agents must be able to communicate effectively to both internal and external customers and co-workers. They are responsible for training and coaching new and existing employees and assisting in their development.

  • Management of parts/service plan issues up to and including vendor escalations.

  • Work-in-Progress (WIP) management for their team and effective communication with team member and peers to assist in overall WIP management.

  • Provides work flow direction to Repair Agents and other team members.

What are the Professional Requirements of a Geek Squad Senior Repair Agent?
Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 5 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing consumer electronics

  • 1 year of experience leading small teams or groups of 2-5 people

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 year degree in Computer/Electronics/Mechanical related field

  • Sealed System Certification and/or manufacturing certifications
