Land O’ Lakes is seeking a Senior Director of Ag Retail Technology to lead a fast growing P&L segment of our technology organization that is responsible for providing executive, consultative, outsourcing, and purchasing services to our Ag Retailers in rural America. The ideal candidate would be someone who is exceptional at influencing senior executives and relationship management combined with an IT background. This position is critical to the success of our Ag Retail members and is critical toward helping America’s farmers adopt Ag Technology (AgTech). This position will report directly into the CIO and will also have direct responsibilities as a P&L owner under the leadership of our EVP of Services.
Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree 10 years or more experience in leading IT organizations or projects. Demonstrated Executive Management and Influencing Skills. Demonstrated Ability to Develop IT Strategic Plans and Execute Successfully IT M&A. Experience Capability to Present to Boards of Directors.
MBA Strongly Desired. Previous Experience in Agricultural Sector extremely desirable.
Primary Job Responsibilities: Influencing Ag Retail Members and aiding them in the development of Long Range IT Plans and strategies that meet both their local requirements and Land O’ Lakes strategic vision Selling and Delivering IT consulting and executive services. Managing Customer/Owner relationships to ensure complete satisfaction. Managing overall P&L and adjusting revenue and bottom line goals to meet rapidly changing market needs and enterprise objectives. Managing and adapting a seasoned team of Internal Consultants and External Consultants to meet customer’s changing needs. Developing Marketing and Growth Plans for Service Lines. Developing and Managing Partnerships for the Execution of Services. Setting IT strategies for Ag Retailers that go beyond Land O’ Lakes scope of capabilities.
Competencies: Excellent verbal communication and influence skills with an ability to develop proposals and presentations that can influence executives. Able to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment which includes commodity markets, technology environments, and complex relationships. Ability to navigate complex relationships and situations to create win-win scenarios and outcomes. Ability to comprehend long term visions and strategies and create 3 to 5 year roadmaps that also meet financial limitations. Create innovative technology solutions and partnerships that thrive in rural America and low margin environments.
Primary Location: Negotiable, but access to an airport that directly services the Midwest is critical.
Travel: Yes, 50% of the time or greater, depending on location.
