Ameren Illinois is a regulated electric and gas delivery company based in Collinsville, Illinois. Our service territory spans 43,700 square miles, or about three-quarters of the state. ABOUT THE POSITION

The Communications Project Coordinator is a key member of Community and Public Relations (CPR). The principal responsibility of the position is to assist in the execution of projects to educate customers about AIC's programs and services, and increase the visibility of the company with key publics. The Communications Project Coordinator engages with CPR team members, other AIC personnel, external vendors, and community partners to develop communication tactics that will reach and influence AIC's targeted audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Responsible for website maintenance and improvements including adding new pages, formatting content; ensuring consistency and working with Corporate Communications to optimize website performance.

Create or coordinate the development of advertising, collateral and outreach materials to support CPR (Community and Public relations) events or CPR-sponsored events. Develop and maintain a process to ensure on-time delivery, cost containment and message consistency.

Ensure that communication materials (e.g., brochures, fact sheets, fliers, door hangers, forms) are consistently developed and implement a process to verify that the most recent versions are being utilized by internal stakeholders (e.g., field, customer service, operations).

Interface with IT to ensure that required customer communications are being programmed correctly so that customers receive the correct information (e.g., new customer packets, bill inserts).

Develop customer letters in accordance with the letter library process established for customer service, credit and collections, metering, real estate, field operations and others.

Assist Manager with implementing a wide range of communication projects. Assist in developing communication plans for internal customers such as operations, engineering forestry, customer service, IT, and gas safety.

Assist with coordinating all facets of AIC's participation in special events, workshops, exhibits and conferences. May involve working occasional weekends or evenings.

Obtain authorization and process payments for mandated advertisements and communications (e.g., public notices for rate filings, yellow page advertisements, phone book placements, photo archiving).

Support CPR responsibilities for managing public relations and customer communications during storms or other events that cause service disruptions. May involve working weekends or evenings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field from an accredited college or university. One to three years relevant years of experience preferred (e.g., Marketing, Public Relations, Communications).

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS, THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE:

Knowledge or experience in areas such as graphic design, website metrics or HTML preferred.
