JOB DESCRIPTION:

THE DIRECTOR, INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGES ALL INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS CHANNELS AND CONTENT, INCLUDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF CONTENT FOR THE CORPORATE INTRANET. HE/SHE SUPPORTS CRITICAL COMMUNICATION NEEDS OF THE SENIOR LEADERSHIP. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COMMUNICATIONS AS WELL AS THE HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM, THIS INDIVIDUAL PLAYS A KEY ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT, DISTRIBUTION AND ANALYSIS OF EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT SURVEYS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

DEVELOP AND EXECUTE A CONSISTENT COMMUNICATION STRATEGY ACROSS ALL INTERNAL CHANNELS, ALIGNED WITH EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
*

MANAGE ALL INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS CHANNELS AND CONTENT, INCLUDING PLANNING, WRITING AND DEVELOPING CONTENT
*

MAINTAIN A PULSE ON EMPLOYEE MORALE AND ENGAGEMENT, CONTINUOUSLY IDENTIFYING OPPORTUNITIES TO CREATE A FANTASTIC WORKING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL EMPLOYEES
*

ASSIST WITH SPECIAL COMMUNICATIONS AND INITIATIVES THAT ARE CRITICAL TO SENIOR LEADERSHIP
*

PARTNER ACROSS FUNCTIONS TO ENSURE THE ORGANIZATION IS AWARE OF KEY COMPANY NEWS AND UPDATES AND OWN THE INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS CONTENT CALENDAR TO ENSURE MESSAGE CONSISTENCY

BUILD AND LEVERAGE EMPLOYEE FEEDBACK CHANNELS AND MECHANISMS, ANALYZE SURVEY DATA, AND DEVELOP INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS PLANS MEANT TO ADDRESS ANY CRITICAL NEEDS
*

PROACTIVELY MANAGE INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSE TO ISSUES OR CRISIS SITUATIONS
*

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HUMAN RESOURCES, PLAY A KEY ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT, DISTRIBUTION AND ANALYSIS OF EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT SURVEYS, INCLUDING THE FORMATION OF SURVEY OBJECTIVES, THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SURVEY PROCESS, AND THE ANALYSIS AND PRESENTATION OF THE SURVEY RESULTS

REGULARLY DEVELOP CONTENT AND COMMUNICATIONS FOR SENIOR LEADERSHIP, INCLUDING SPEECHES, PRESENTATIONS, TALK TRACKS, ETC.

MINIMUM 10-12 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS, CHANGE MANAGEMENT, EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT OR INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS; INCLUDES EXPERIENCE WITH WORKFORCE ENGAGEMENT IN LARGE-SCALE CHANGE, INCLUDING M&A AND OTHER MOMENTS OF TRANSFORMATION

FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING COMMUNICATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN COMPLEX ORGANIZATIONS AND ACROSS DIVERSE EMPLOYEE AND LEADERSHIP GROUPS

EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH C-SUITE LEADERSHIP
*

ISSUES MANAGEMENT COMMUNICATION BACKGROUND
