The Department of Psychology at Xavier University of Louisiana invites applications for a one-year visiting Assistant Professor position in area of Applied Psychology, to begin in August 2018. A successful candidate would be able to teach Research Methods, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Tests and Measurements, and additional courses in their area of expertise. Preferences will be given to candidates with a PhD, with an ABD required.
Following on a long tradition of successful graduates moving on from Xavier to graduate and workforce careers, the Department of Psychology has three majors; Psychological Science, Psychology Pre-Medicine, and Neuroscience. As an historically Black university in the heart of New Orleans, these programs have a significant influence on the number of underrepresented minority group members in related fields.
