POSITION SUMMARY:
The Support Specialist is responsible for representing MultiCare in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner through greeting and assisting all patients, customers, and guests of the clinic in person or via the telephone, and for providing clerical support to management and staff. This is a support position performing a variety of routine to moderately complex front office and clerical duties working in a clinic with multiple providers, support staff, and management. Work situations require organization, prioritization, flexibility, and time management skills. This position requires extensive interaction with internal and external customers to include patients, families, physicians, clinic staff, and other departments. This position works in collaboration with the Patient Representatives and works closely with other clinic staff under direct supervision of the clinic manager. Decision-making is limited to the daily routine duties of the position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
One year clerical experience, in a healthcare setting; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the 1 year clerical experience in a healthcare setting
Experience using EPIC and/or Beacon health care record is highly desired

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Post High School office procedures training, Vocational business training or college course work preferred
