Job Description:

Position Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for all supervisory functions related to the delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care in the Pain Management Department. Supervises and directs all staff and functions in the department while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills and clinic specific expertise. Specific duties include directing patient care activities, monitoring unit budgets, and participating on departmental and medical center wide performance improvement projects. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients and others.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $38.31 Midpoint $53.71 Maximum $69.11

Required Qualifications:

Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Complete understanding of acuity levels for specific patient populations

Current BLS and ACLS certifications upon hire

Current California RN license

Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements

Minimum of three years demonstrated nursing experience

Previous experience working as a clinical lead or charge nurse

Sound understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements to be able to monitor for compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years procedural moderate sedation experience

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Demonstrated supervisory experience working in an acute care setting, or ambulatory surgery center
