DAT Solutions, a subsidiary of Roper Industries (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a fulltime Product Support
Specialist to join our Operations Management Team, in Springfield, MO.
The Product Support Rep I position is responsible for assuring customer satisfaction by providing product
training and support on all aspects of specific DAT Solutions’ software applications. Training and support
are provided onsite, by phone and email. A Product Support Rep I will not be working from a script. A
high level of product knowledge will be required in managing any and all customer requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ï‚· Coordinates the installation of DAT Solutions’ software,
ï‚· Responsible for training customers on software both onsite and by phone.
ï‚· Responsible for planning onsite trips to train customers. Making airline and hotel reservations,
renting cars and driving to site.
ï‚· Responsible for receiving and answering application support calls by phone and email.
ï‚· Responsible for troubleshooting customer systems to determine whether the problem is caused
by software or hardware. Resolves problems that do not require programming changes.
ï‚· Assists in the development of product documents to include installation guides, release notes,
help documents and tutorials for use by customers.
ï‚· Works closely with Team Leader and Product Support Manager to test new software, resolve
software errors and recommend improvements or enhancements requested by users and
customers prior to future software releases.
ï‚· Enters and maintains customer requests for software improvements and enhancements in help
desk software system.
Required Skills and Experience:
ï‚· 0ne to two years prior technical support experience supporting software products required.
ï‚· Transportation industry experience preferred.
ï‚· Post high school education required, four year degree preferred.
ï‚· A clean driving record and the ability to rent and drive a car.
ï‚· Need ability to fly on commercial airlines.
