Job Description Summary

TITLE: Sr. Service Technician

Department: Service Engineering
Reports to: Service Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the troubleshooting and repairing of electronic equipment i.e.; Navigators, CORTRAK Systems
Submit estimates for non warranty repair of said electronic equipment
Will work with some technical writing and root cause analysis with the possibility of troubleshooting to component level
Investigate departmental process flows and implement improvements
Establish and handle production / vendor quality issues for electronic equipment
Investigate / Implement corrective actions on electronic equipment
Perform other duties and functions assigned by manager

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education: AS in Electronics Engineering

Experience: 1-3 plus years experience in the service / manufacturing / validation environment
of electro-mechanical devices
Supervisory experience required
Experience in the medical device industry a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Troubleshooting microprocessor driven electro-mechanical devices from system to component level
Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and assembly prints
Project Management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a team mentality
Understanding of Microsoft Office

INTERACTION WITH OTHERS
Service has to interact with customer service, technical services, QA and Development Engineering. Must be able to interact with these people on a daily basis. In addition, service must interact with suppliers of PC Boards and final electronic equipment assemblies
