Position Title:  Asset Specialist-SCN

Position Summary

Ensure the compliance, structural integrity and ‘readiness’ of SCN assets (Systems, Hubs, Nodes, Poles, Fiber, Conduit, etc.), and ensure that asset management policies, standards and procedures are properly implemented and maintained; including GO95, NESC, and other utility standards.  Prepare, submit, and track applications and supporting documentation concerning pole attachments, modifications, and cancellations. Responsible for the acquisition and quality of asset data and monitors all proposed changes to SCN assets. Work closely with engineering, operations personnel, Sales, Implementation and Product Development to ensure database accuracy, maintain system data quality and support other departments to meet company objectives. Analyze, manage and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions



  • Work closely with RF engineers, structural engineers, field operations personnel, sales, Implementation, and Product Development to ensure asset integrity.




  • Work with the SCN Asset Manager to implement CCIC’s asset management policies, standards

    and procedures.




  • Coordinate engineering solutions in accordance with SCN & Utility policies, standards and procedures to maintain compliance and maximize asset yield.




  • Research, analyze and respond to regulatory compliance inquires with a high degree of customer service and integrity when dealing with utilities, external and internal customers.




  • Advises team and facilitate resolution to help close inspection/audit notifications received from other utilities.




  • Provide utility guidance on an ongoing basis through field training or via teleconference.




  • Promptly respond to assigned data tickets and work orders to ensure accurate data in the systems.




  • Keep the SCN asset manager well informed regarding asset management issues including

    structural integrity, compliance, capacity, and customer satisfaction issues.




  • Review critical documentation necessary for long term asset management and provide asset acceptance confirming compliance.




  • Receive and review municipality construction plans in regards to Crown Castle infrastructure and provide feedback in regards to potential interference.Potentially develop estimates to mitigate risk associated to any identified interference.




  • Provide support for special projects that involve the relocation of Crown Castle’s infrastructure.



Education/Certifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent




  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred



Experience/Minimum Requirements



  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in real estate, construction, operations or engineering field related to management of tower structures
