Global Business Services (GBS) develops, maintains and implements standardized transactional processes across Bose, to be delivered from our Lisbon, Portugal Business Services Center (BSC) and supported across other Bose offices worldwide. Key Objectives & Accountabilities

The HR Technology & Support US Payroll Process Lead is part of the Bose GBS team, reporting to the Director of HR Technology & Support. The US Payroll Process Lead will lead process development, improvement, governance and coordination. The US Payroll Process Lead plays a key role in knowledge management and training ensuring standardized processes are defined and rolled out across Bose.

Main areas of responsibility

Identify, manage and drive standardization and improvements to the Global Process Definitions ("GPDs") and associated Application Functional Designs.

Define and implement the KPI's, metrics and service levels that define success. Monitor service delivery against performance targets and initiate mitigations where needed.

Lead teams in process development and improvement by assessing different alternatives, performing impact analysis and driving to buy in for proposed solutions with key stakeholders. Effectively manage the implementation of these changes.

Facilitate workshops that leverage Lean tools to map end to end processes to mitigate process risks, assess improvement opportunities and alternatives.  This includes root cause analysis when issues occur in a process.

Work with the HR Technology team to plan future automation and technology enablement

Provide functional leadership for the Workday Payroll module working with key stakeholders on application maintenance and improvements

Translate business requirements into technical capabilities by partnering with HR Technology and CIS to drive the implementation of technology solutions to enable automation and controls including training for the solutions implemented.

Lead transition activities to the Lisbon Service Center including the development of Standard Operating Procedures and the evaluation of their readiness

Lead knowledge transfer and provide ongoing training to the Lisbon Service Center team members

Build relationships with internal customers and partner departments supporting requests as required.

Support all US payroll escalations for inquiries and incidents

Serve as primary point of contact for all outside agencies as it relates to US Payroll operations

Perform all US payroll activities retained in MA including but not limited to wage attachments, physical checks and advices and tax filings

Education and Experience Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration required

Advanced certifications such as CPP or similar preferred - thorough knowledge of accounting theory

Advanced understanding of process design and controls. Internal Audit experience a plus.

Lean Six Sigma - Desired Green Belt or above with experience facilitating improvement methodologies - Project management and experience with process redesign

Project Management Certification a plus

Experience working with global teams and sensitive to a diverse and multi-cultural environment and willingness to travel

Extensive experience as a functional super user with ERP, HR and Payroll applications

Experience: 10 + years of experience in Payroll, Finance or Accounting
