Job Description:

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Customer Service Specialist for the Industrial OEM Sales Division, which is dedicated to designing and selling engineered solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers, in Fort Mill, SC. This position will provide overall customer account management and client support to a group of high profile customers within the Industrial Sales Business Unit. Also, this position will satisfy customer needs and expectations in a manner that builds customer trust and confidence by offering efficient, reliable, and quality service and support.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage key account and customer focus in all operational topics
  • Analyze customer forecast, current inventory levels, production schedules, and product demand to quickly identify and resolve potential issues
  • Identify customer demand changes and trends through analyses using SAP and Business Warehouse reports
  • Lead meetings with customers and cross functional teams to convey status updates
  • Process EDI orders, update customer portals, and conduct manual order processing
  • Plan and execute work with minimum supervision and/or involvement of outside sales

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Associate's Degree in Business or related field
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years Customer Service experience in an industrial product distribution or manufacturing environment
  • SAP experience highly preferred and strong systems aptitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, formulas), Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive and work effectively in a team oriented environment involving a multitude of different functions
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions with minimal interaction from supervisor/management
  • Strong Customer Service Orientation and Problem Solving skills
  • Excellent written, e-mail, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills including priority setting, time management, and the ability to work with and interpret complex/detailed information
