Lube Technician at Closure Systems International

Job Description:

Support the production cells by completing
daily and weekly lubrication of all machines scheduled.

While performing this task assess the equipment
to identify any noticeable wear issues of parts.

Inform Shift Maintenance Technician of items
needing address in the moment for repair while the machine is down for Lube.

If identified issue is not significant, report
issue to Maintenance Supervisor. This item will be added to be addressed on
next PM if machine is able to run safely and produce good quality product at
standard speeds.

Additional duties may include compression tool
dis-assembly, cleaning and reassembly.




    Four years of high school or equivalent.

    Frequent requirement of eye-hand coordination,
    high degree of dexterity is regularly involved.

    Exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant
    physical conditions.

    Some exposure to hazards that could cause
    relatively serious illness or injury (i.e., exposure to sharp objects and pinch

    Mechanical aptitude is essential for this job.

  • Work Shift:   8 hour day shift M-F , with occasional

  • Education/Training
      High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

  •   PPE:   approved safety shoes,
    hearing and eye protection as appropriate for work area, gloves according to
    work tasks, protective clothing and protective sleeves.  

  • Tools and Equipment:   Various hand, power and pneumatic tools,
    mobile equipment (walkies), transport carts and devices, cleaning supplies,
    grease gun, aerosol cans, spray bottles, vacuum equipment, writing utensils,
    computer and keyboard mouse.


    Essential Job Functions:  

    Communicate clearly in English both verbally and written.

  • Participate in work related training programs.  
  • O        Sitting:   On metal stool with footrest, or in cushioned chair with back support and armrests while performing computer data entry, visual inspections and related work tasks

    F        Standing:   On level concrete surfaces

    F         Walking:   On level concrete surfaces

    O        Sitting:   Cushioned chairs with or without back support, armrests, footrests

    O        Lifting:   Various size, shape and weight items, weighing 40lb or less in ranges from floor - shoulder level

    O        Carrying:   Various size, shape and weight items, weighing 40lb or less    

    F   Pushing/Pulling:   Transport carts and devices on level concrete floors

    F         Reaching:   In ranges from floor level to overhead, may be static positions  

    F         Neck Flexion:   Up to 20 degrees, may be static positions

    O      Neck Rotation:   Up to 45 degrees to the right, may be repetitive or static positions

    O        Bending/Squatting/Kneeling:   May be static positions

    O        Climbing:   Up and down ladders, step stool, and up to 2-4 flights of stairs

    F         Grasping:   Grasp ranges of ½" - 4 ½" widths/diameters,
    may be repetitive or static positions, may have vibratory component

    F        Pinching:   Small tools, parts, wires, hardware knobs,
    levers, controls, may be repetitive or static positions

    F         Finger Isolation:   Using fingers to get in-between tools and around parts

    F         Finger Flexion:   To operate drill, grease gun, other small hand tools, may be repetitive or static positions, may
    have vibratory component.

    O        Laying on Back:   To perform work on machinery and equipment,
    may be static position
