Job Description:

Direct supervision of three Project Engineers, Engineering Compliance Lead, Process Safety Engineer, Permit to Work Coordinator, and Engineering Compliance Specialist. Supervises all contract engineering support for the St Louis capital project program.

Manage the >$8MM US capital budget for the site, ensuring projects are scoped, prioritized, funded, and executed safely with no compromise of the quality systems of the facility. Provide metrics to ensure current status of projects and remaining spending. Execute closure of completed capital projects in a timely manner. Manage the facility master plan for the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the site is positioned for both new products and capacity expansion in the future. Establish project management capability for the site and lead projects with capable project management skills.

Manage the site process safety program to make on floor corrections as needed and prioritize capital project for any high risk items.

Promotes a safe environment with equipment and process designs and comply with all GSK quality and safety procedures and national and local regulations.

Partner with the Quality Department to ensure identification and closure of high risk corrective and preventative action items in a safe and timely manner. Manage any response to deviations needed from the Engineering team. Ensure department complies with Global Engineering Standards. Partner with Validation team to ensure that capital projects have the proper qualifications completed to meet our Quality Management System.

Train and develop engineers and other non-exempt team members for future success.

Essential Skills:

BS in Science or Engineering

8 years manufacturing + some time in engineering
