Job Description:


The purpose of the Automation and Controls Engineer is to provide industrial control & automation engineering services for the GSK St Louis Facility for support of Commercial Production, Validation, and Capital Projects

Main Responsibilities:

= Ensure site has highest standards and is compliant for Environment, Health and Safety, and Sustainability in automation and controls systems

= Support the Quality Management System on site that ensures full compliance to regulatory and customer expectations

= Provide technical engineering support for commercial production issues including product manufacturing and packaging equipment; Develop & implement operational improvement opportunities

= Develop / write / approve / execute electrical and control portions of equipment validation protocols

= Demonstrates technical expertise and ability to adapt to changing circumstances

= Implement electrical solutions for both production and facility equipment and systems from design to start-up

= Develops and approves electrical technical specifications for equipment purchase and validation

= Demonstrates leadership skills as a project team leader, project manager, or technical coach

Essential Skills:

= Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

= Working knowledge and prior application development and troubleshooting using Rockwell RSLogix 5000 or Siemens S7 & S5

= Capability to develop and execute technical documentation such as User Requirement Specifications, Functional Requirement Specifications, Design Specifications, Validation Protocols, Commissioning and Qualification Protocols

= Prior Experience participating and contributing to design, programming, start-up, troubleshooting and validating of control systems

= Ability to read and interpret Single Line Drawings and Process and Instrumentation Drawings
