Job Description:

The Staff Assistant III in the Rawl Engineering Practice Facility (REPF) in the Gallogly College of Engineering plays a crucial role in contributing to a successful collaborative environment.  The ability to multi task and work under pressure is imperative for the success of this position.  Office tasks for this position includes overseeing access to protected areas of the facility, support of the REPF staff in coordination, scheduling, and implementation of meetings and events, maintaining student competition team information, updating and maintaining spreadsheet databases of program information, website updates, travel arrangements for guests, preparation and updates to safety training and procedures documents, and event support.

Required Education: GED/High School Grad OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND




  • 12 - 24 months office/clerical experience



Skills:





  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English




  • Basic math skills




  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information




  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines




  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff




  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs




  • Proficient navigating and maintaining spreadsheet databases




  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and follow instructions




  • Composition and proofreading skills

  • Ability to engage in repetitive motions; grasp objects with fingers or hands; speak, including expressing oneself; listening to others; see, including color, depth perception, and clarity.



Departmental Preferences:




  • Experience with Concur and other OU systems
