Job Description:

Specific Requirements

Dematic has an immediate need for a SAP Business Analyst in our Grand Rapids, MI headquarters. The primary duties of this position will be that of providing business support for the Project System module of SAP. The successful candidate must have strong working knowledge and experience with this modules of SAP and a good working knowledge of SAP integration.

To be considered for this role - you must have at least 5-8 years of current working experience in a corporate environment as a Business Analyst with SAP in the Project System Module. Experience managing technical resources is a plus.

Job Family Responsibilities

Working with key project logistics and controlling business team members, performs complex analysis of business goals, objectives and needs of the general supply chain business environment and may create complex functional and technical specifications and flowcharts. Performs complex planning and design of business processes and systems. Develops recommendations for complex changes to improve and support business activities. Will facilitate complex business case development (planning and initiation, responding to budget/plan changes, perform ad hoc planning requests and evaluations).

Key Responsibilities

Performs full range of standard work for the professional field. Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations. Assists in development of the strategic technology plan. Assists in directing staff on their activities as required and provides feedback to ensure accomplishment of objectives. Maintains liaison with the business community for identification of SAP support requirements and strategy.


Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.

Knowledge and Experience

Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organizations business practices and issues. Typically, 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Coordinates with technical team on daily activities.

Primarily intra-organizational contacts and external contacts.
