Physical Requirements
Sitting for long periods of time mixed with extended periods of moving around the hospital; lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects less than 50 lbs on a regular basis; bends, twists, squats, and kneels frequently; hours spent in front of computer.

Job Summary
UK Healthcare's Anatomic Pathology Department is seeking a Staff Support Associate to perform various clerical and patient care duties that support the function of the pathology department and clinical laboratory. Must be able to work well under pressure and function independently. Coordinates efficient and timely case preparation for review and/or send out; primary person responsible for retrieving slides and paraffin blocks from various locations/departments for molecular testing; files surgical pathology and cytology slides on a daily basis; organizes work for effective utilization of time. Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with staff, other hospital personnel, physicians, and the general public.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
General office/clerical duties and excellent customer service skills.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
2 years of anatomic pathology laboratory experience preferred.
