Position Summary

This is an entry level .NET developer position to work on Duck
Creek insurance platform that will analyze and troubleshoot software issues,
and assist in the delivery of key projects in support of Chubb's Small
Commercial Insurance (SCI). 
S/he will directly support development and integration efforts within
the Duck Creek policy system for SCI product lines, SCI Market Place portal,
and shared APIs to align IT efforts with business needs. The candidate selected will learn multiple facets of SCI platform
components and project, including but not limited to Functional Analysis,
Business Analysis, and Data Quality Assurance.  

The SCI Duck Creek developer/system analyst position requires a
hard working person who has an ability to think analytically. The intent
is to develop a junior developer/system analyst to become a well-rounded IT

Skills and Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Support
     SCI strategy through current system
    analysis, understand business needs, address gaps, and deliver high quality technical

  • Review,
    document and resolve functional and technical issues with the team.

  • Convey
    problems, solutions, and update project status to peers and management.

  • Assist in every aspect of application design,
    development, and testing. Work closely with various teams  to maintain the production software while
    simultaneously participating in the redesign and enhancement efforts.

  • Develop
    and maintain clear and succinct documentation.

  • Participate
    in code reviews and resolve code quality problems.

  • Extract
    data from database using SQL scripts for analysis purposes.

  • Perform
    other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Technologies 

  • 0-2 years relevant work

  • Bachelor Degree in Information
    Systems, Communication or Insurance.

  • Preferred technologies: C#, MSSQL Server, ASP.NET, WCF, XPATH,
    Other technologies from the Microsoft technology stack.

  • Highly organized, possessing
    strong analytical abilities, orientation toward details.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft
    Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required. 

  • Ability to interact well with
    various levels of the organization.

  • Ability to quickly learn project
    processes and their incorporation into the tools utilized.

  • Work successfully in a team
    environment and independently. Ability to quickly adapt to change

  • Excellent written/verbal skills.
