JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the collection of delinquent payments, collection of delinquent property taxes, hazard and flood insurance cancellation/non-renewal notices, monitoring of matured loans, unauthorized transfers and Bank Controlled Accounts. This person is also the back-up for the Loan Portfolio Administrative Assistant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides effective customer service and assists in resolving problems within given authority.
Completes routine letters and forms.
Collection of delinquent payments, delinquent property taxes, and hazard/flood insurance cancellation/non-renewal notices.
Monitoring of matured loans.
Monitors and tracks the unauthorized transfers.
Monitors and tracks the Bank Controlled Accounts.
Other duties include follow-up of missing financials, deferred maintenance issues and covenant violations

Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
Basic level of work experience, knowledge and training in loan servicing activities and terminology.
Effective organizational and time management skills
Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank lending policies governing lending including but not limited to fair lending, privacy, RESPA as well as company operational policies and procedures, and the company’s products and services.
Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs
Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position
Basic math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs
Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information
Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on a short-term and long-term basis
Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters, and/or conduct routine oral communication
Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
A minimum of 2 years of related experience/training in loan servicing within the financial services industry
