Primary responsibilities are to perform highly specialized nerve conduction studies for outpatient, inpatient and outreach for MCHS SW MN Region. EEG studies for outpatient and inpatient, long term EEG monitoring, ambulatory EEG set up, recording and review of collected data.Autonomic studies, visual, auditory and somatosensory evoked potentials and polysomnography studies as needed for the department.

Competently perform appropriate procedure for physician interpretation. Responsible for the cleanliness/maintenance of electrodes and follow infection control guidelines established for the Department. Prepare patient for the procedure ordered as described by laboratory procedure. Operate instrument for test procedure.
Associate in Applied Science or Associate in Science degree in neurophysiology or related science required.
Board eligibility is a prerequisite for the job and examination must be completed within two years of employment through American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) or American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET).
License or certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Registered EEG Tech, Registered Evoked Potential Tech or Registered Nerve Conduction Tech preferred.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $22.96 per hour.
Hours / Pay period
Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM. After hours and weekend call may be required.
On call rotation required.
