Location: Mankato, Minnesota
Coordinates with Volunteer Team regarding on-going recruitment of volunteers for the region. Is responsible for volunteer coordinating, scheduling, and retention to ensure volunteer programs are adequately staffed with qualified, dependable volunteers. Schedules and maintains master calendar, including locating resources/replacements when needed, and ensures accuracy of volunteer schedules. Maintains current status regarding rosters, schedules and availability, hours worked, etc. Coordinates with volunteer team for the creation of reports as needed to track volunteer placement statistics, hours served and number of active volunteers. Maintains accurate volunteer files including background studies, confidentiality forms, applications, emergency contact information, signed position description, etc. Coordinates with Employee Health with completion of TB tests/immunizations. Is responsible for supporting Volunteer Director with coordination and communication to ensure smooth office operations. Is responsible for coordination of volunteer orientation/trainings, annual education including staff that directly supervises volunteers. Supports Volunteer Director to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with medical center staff to maximize utilization of volunteers. Develops volunteer communication tools, via verbal, electronic or written. Responsible for the coordination of special events when assigned. Acts as gift shop support system. Maintains current working knowledge of Volgistics software. Provides office coordination as requested. Maintains adequate levels of office supplies and ensures that all equipment is in working condition. Completes work orders for printed materials, special function requests, room reservations, etc. Performs special projects as assigned by director as requested.
Experience : A minimum of three years experience in health field, youth leadership and/or volunteer leadership required. Experience with computer keyboard and personal computer (PC) applications required. Must possess demonstrated management skills to include leadership, problem solving, communications, organization, and goal setting. Supervisory experience preferred. Education: Two year post-secondary degree required. Four year degree preferred.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $20.54 per hour.
Hours / Pay period
Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends
