Vice President, Cardiovascular Science

The Vice President, Cardiovascular Science, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, assists in establishing, maintaining and advancing the scientific capabilities of BioTelemetry Research. The Vice President and Medical Director also participates in developing BioTelemetry Research s broad scientific strategy to bring products and services to market in compliance with global regulatory and medical health requirements. In support of the Chief Medical Officer, the Vice President and Medical Director is a representative of the medical department to key functional leaders of the business division and to the parent corporate leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Representing the company s scientific excellence externally through consulting and speaking engagements with customers

Providing consulting services including protocol design, and writing of statistical and medical reports

Providing guidance, including face-to-face meetings, to customers in support of sales activities and during projects

Coordinating with Global Sales and Marketing in pursuing new opportunities

Participating in presentations to customers and general industry audiences

Supervising medical consultants, and being responsible for quality control of all medical writing and consulting deliverables

Participating in quality assurance activities for cardiovascular study interpretation and preparation of reports in support of these activities

Assisting the Chief Medical Officer in the development of corporate strategic planning and evaluation of competitive service offerings and emerging scientific and technological innovations

Planning and delivering focused research projects in support of the corporate strategic goals

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Medical School Graduate (MD) or equivalent (PhD)

Experience:

Experience in clinical trials

Experience in customer service deliverables

SKILLS:

Expertise in preparation of detailed reports and summaries for scientific consulting, medical writing, quality assurance and regulatory submissions

Demonstrable skills in selection, training and management of both medical and non-medical professionals and technicians

Demonstrable skills in presentation of medical material to both professional and non-professional audiences
