Reimbursement Coordinator

Job Summary:

In this position the qualified individual will work directly with the reimbursement team and will be responsible for open A/R revenue for their assigned insurance carriers. The coordinator will utilize various collection strategies and methodologies in order to successfully work denials / rejections for claim reconsideration. Must be detail oriented and motivated professional to ensure proper claim processing.

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of Accounts Receivable in medical billing / medical insurance.
*

Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility HCFA1500 professional billing experience a plus.
*

Must follow internal guidelines designed for certain payers & must meet or exceed daily productivity goal.
*

Will be responsible for Current Denial Report, Payer Aging Report and Negative Balance Report.
*

Must be able to read an EOB and determine claim processing by an insurance carrier.
*

Must have great customer service skills since they will be dealing with the insurance carriers directly.
*

Coordinator will be responsible for daily follow up with their insurance correspondence to ensure claim payment in a timely manner.
*

Coordinator will need to develop and maintain updates for any of their problem payers and must assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems /procedures to address issues with their payers.
*

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree
*

1 year related experience
