Job Description:

Role Purpose
Develops, defines and executes project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables on large engagements and projects. Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters, as needed. Assigns and monitors work of project/program management staff, providing technical support and direction.

Federal Specific : * Account revenues with range from US $16 million - $40 million annually (levels will be based on size of account revenue). Attains expected outcomes of change.

Leadership:

Manage Change:

Positively promotes and facilitates change. Manages changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan; facilitates client acceptance of the scope change. Manages the ambiguity associated with change initiatives by continually identifying and addressing evolving implications and documenting the agreements to the requirements.

Risk Management:

Creates an environment where risks are communicated as challenges and opportunities.

Documents risks, assumptions, and constraints using historical data and expert judgment in order to understand project limitations. Implements actions required to avoid or mitigate project risks to minimize the impact of the risks on the project. Balances and analyses risks associated with highly complex decision

Monitor and Control Project Work:

Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project, indentify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders. Understands the businesses into which they are delivering, including cross-functional business domains. Understands the interdependence of various project components and plans accordingly to meet milestones.

Establishes effective structures, systems and work processes to achieve high levels of efficiency and effectiveness. Forecasts and tracks costs and revenue to meet project objectives and effectively utilize resources. Thinks in a system-wide, cross-boundary terms before defining a problem-solving initiative.

Communications:

Ensures a common understanding by setting expectations using the Project Plan to align the stakeholders and team members. Communicates effectively and confidently with senior management within Unisys and the client to ensure key stakeholder buy-in. Explains the strategic benefits of decisions to team members. Ensures the client understands what they are receiving by articulating how project objectives relate to business outcomes.

Federal Specific : * Actively contributes and meet the defined requirements of a Continuous Improvement Program.

Key Qualifications
* More than ten years experience managing medium complexity projects or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to train and develop staff and the ability to work in a time sensitive environment.

Federal Specific : * ITIL, PMP and RMP Certifications are a plus.

* U.S. Citizenship Required.

* Background Checks Required.

* DOD Secret Clearance preferred.
