In a clinical setting under the direction of the House Children's Hearing Center's Director in the Department of Head & Neck Surgery, the Senior Audiologist will administer and interpret the full range of audiological tests from comprehensive audiological evaluation, admittance measures, otoacoustic emission measures, electrophysiological measures for determination of, and differentiation of conductive, cochlear, neural hearing loss, and pseudohypoacusis for patients. Ability to travel to and provide care at various Head & Neck Clinic locations.

Job Qualifications:

*

Audiology degree and valid state of California Audiology license with Hearing Aid Dispensing certification, required

*

Knowledge of diagnostic Audiology to perform evaluations of patients

*

Ability to fit hearing aids on pediatric patients

*

Demonstrated knowledge of hearing aid programming, testing, mapping and speech perception testing of cochlear implant patients

*

Interpersonal skills and ability to maintain and establish working relationships with clinicians, patients, parents, and staff

*

Ability to follow through on assignments with minimal supervision

*

Administrative and organizational skills, including general office skills and ability to use basic office machines, multitask with different computer systems

*

Demonstrated Case management skills

*

Ability to bill properly for audiology services, and work with 3rd parties to analyze payer reports

*

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines and performance metrics, work independently, and re-prioritize assignments as required

*

Knowledge of University Healthcare Policies and Procedures

*

Experience in audiology, including testing and hearing aid dispensing.

*

Experience with cochlear implants

*

Ability to have flexibility in work schedules and locations as needed.
