MRI Tech

Performs all routine and miscellaneous MRI procedures. Also performs common Diagnostic Imaging Procedure including procedures performed in ER and OR. Will participate in the on-call schedule as assigned.

MRI Basic Competencies

* Routine protocols of all procedures performed in department

* Transporting and Positioning for procedures

* Control Safety of MRI Suite, Maintain safe working area

* Access Patients Safety Prior to Exam

* Obtaining and evaluating medical history

* Use of Teleradiography

* Use of 3D Imaging angio-mip-ortho work

* Practicing aseptic technique

* Knowledge and use of Imaging Network

* Film Processing and reports to Radiologist

* Use of all processors


* Associates degree

* Current Florida license

* ARRT certification in MR

* BLS certification though the American Heart Association

* Prefer 2-4 years of experience

* Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds
