St. David's South Austin Medical Center is an acute care facility with 316 beds, offering a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties, including a nationally accredited oncology program with the area s only adult bone marrow transplant program; a trauma program that includes all of the capabilities and programmatic elements of a Level II trauma center to treat the most severely injured and critical patients; a comprehensive cardiac program; full-service maternity and newborn care with Level I and II nurseries; and two full-service emergency centers in the communities of Bee Cave and Bastrop.
The Cardiac Electrophysiology RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care thorough assessment, planning care based on patient needs and consistent with the patient's expectation of treatment. Executes therapeutic physician or nursing initiated interventions and evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress towards patient outcomes. Assists in all procedures performed in the Electrophysiology Laboratory. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. Through documentation and verbal communication, essential information is shared with health care team members. Performs unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive work and professional environment.
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse Licensure from the State of Texas
Required: Miniumum of 1 year Critical Care, EP or Cath Lab experience
Preferred: 3-5 years Critical Care experience and/or 1 year diagnostic and invasive EP/Cath Lab experience
License & Certification
Required: Registered Nurse and BLS is required. ACLS is required within 90 days of hire.
If Compact Licensed, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
