RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst Retail Sales is to provide analytical support to help Clemens Food Group attain Growth and Profitability goals.

The Financial Analyst Retail Sales will be expected to proactively seek opportunity for Clemens Food Group by analyzing assigned Channels and Categories/Primals, followed by a recommendation and plan for improvement.

The Financial Analyst Retail Sales will also be the primary "analytical" resource for all areas of the Customer Solutions Center, including: Trade Management, Category Management, Business Management, and Business Development.

Sales Support - Priority 1 - 30% of Time Update and distribute weekly Retail reporting suite, along with commentary on variance v. Budget

Provide Ad Hoc reporting and analysis per request Provide analysis around KPI's/Initiatives during the bi-weekly Retail sales meeting Establish expectations with channel leaders for reporting requirements Participate in monthly channel review Participate in initiative and special project meetings

Profit improvement analysis - Priority 2 - 25% of Time Document pipeline of margin growth opportunities and drive execution of bottom line return Provide recommendations regarding Margin analysis and sku rationalization

Compile, review and present post mortem analysis - Promotions Compile, review and present post mortem analysis - new product development

Business growth support - Priority 3 - 20% of Time Participate in CSC initiatives as a technical resource, responding to requests for costing, pricing, margin from sales team Participate in the bid/proposal process Provide senior management with quarterly primal analysis (commentary included) Continually build system technical skills to provide support and training for all of Customer Solutions Identify opportunities to leverage systems for efficiencies and contribute to company year-over-year improvement goal

Budget & Forecasting - Priority 4 - 20% of Time Participate in Sales budgeting and quarterly reforecast process Supply the technical and process data for budgeting process Train account managers on the budgeting tool Review & Summarize the preliminary budget submission Provide monthly review and analysis of functional spend for Customer solutions Update budget submissions based on analysis and review with account managers Final submission of budget into reporting system Present final budget to Senior Management Responsible for budget process from start to finish

Team CFG - Priority 5 - 5% of Time Participate in On Boarding process for new hires Participate in CFG sponsored personal/growth leadership Participate in weekly department meeting

QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) is required

* Minimum 1-3 years experience in Finance or Analytical role

* Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills

* Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to function at a high level within a team environment

* Ability to work independently and with individuals from multiple disciplines and with varying levels of experience

* Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where change and growth are part of the culture

* Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

* SAP experience (not required)
