Job Corps is a Federally funded education and training program focusing on employability skills and job placement for young adults, located just outside the beautiful city of Albany, NY. We support the Job Corps program’s mission to teach eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and place them in meaningful jobs or further education.
Job Corps is currently seeking a candidate to fill the role of Career Transition Services Specialist (Poughkeepsie Office). The ideal candidate would bring energy and enthusiasm to the overall management of the Center, as well as a desire to be a part of educating and empowering youth is intrinsic to success.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Responsibilities & Duties
Identifies and develops Center-beneficial partnerships that lead to student benefit and success. Provides transitional support and placement services leading to quality full-time jobs, higher education or advanced training. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field from an accredited school; or Associates degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field from an accredited school and two years’ related experience. Must possess a valid in-state Driver’s License and meet the Company insurability requirements.
